I wonder if there is a 10 step program?

I told my family I think I might need intervention. I would call it BBA. Button Buyers Anonymous. I bought a lot of buttons today. They were separated by color mostly in gallon size zip locks. I told myself I would just buy the bags that looked most interesting. I REALLY did not need any more buttons. After all I bought a big, big pile of them a few months back. Here are the buttons from a few months ago.

But I talked myself into it. Those little round things are so tempting. I got a really good deal. 7 bucks. And I did leave some behind. Six bags that is. But then I went back later and got those too. She only charged me 50 cents a bag. That's a whopping $10 bucks for hours of fun. Sorting , counting and crafting with these gems. Who am I kidding? I will probably never do anything with these. But I love to look at them.
The majority of these are on cards but there are some loose ones too. I will have pics of the new buttons tomorrow. Left my camera at church Thursday but I will get it back tomorrow.

Ch-ch-cha-chia.

We all know the familiar jingle. My youngest son gave me the Shrek Chia Pet last year for Christmas. Since it was winter, I forgot about it. He found it in the shed and asked it he could plant it. This was the result. It makes me laugh everytime I look at it.
Two weeks later I find the Chia bull/lamb at the salvation Army. We had so much fun with Shrek, I knew it had to come home with me.
Anyone else have any luck with the chia pet?

Oops sorry about the sideways Chia.

The Early Bird's Booth B-48

My booth when I first opened it. It did not take long to fill it up
Some of these have sold including the rug, fenton bowl, coke cola radio and champayne bucket.

This weekend the Antique Mall had their 15th Anniversary sale. I have had a booth there for almost 4 months. I have had a lot of fun doing this. Yardsaling has been one of my favorite pastimes for a long, long time. But something had to give. I would have yardsales about twice a year but always regretted taking yardsale prices for some of my items. A fellow yard saler had come to one of my sales and suggested I get a booth. I went and checked it out and decided to try it. Here a few pictures of my booth. It is 6' x 10'.
And here is a special "shout out" to my Mamma. She is my "picker" in South Georgia. Thanks for all the great things you find to fill up the booth.

Yes, It's Rednesday once again.

I learn something new everytime I post on my Blog. The pictures load in reverse order. Thats why Sue's link showed up at the bottom. Here a few favorite reds from this week. I love Cookbooks and Betty's books are no exception. The Cooky book was a favorite from my childhood. I loved to look at all the colorful pictures.

The other two I picked up at yardsales.

These two items were from a trip to the Salvation Army last week. I do not know what the piece with the hole is for. But I googled the mark on the bottom of the cup and I think there is a piece missing. I still like the cup and lid though. And the vase is ceramic. Handmade with care by someone long ago. I love the speckels on the glaze.

Jar of buttons at my Momma's house. We both love buttons.

Back to school for my Son. His first day of highschool. His Sister was nice enough to take him on the first day. Also treated him to breakfast at Chick-fil-a.

I love a good yardsale.

I found all of the tools at a yardsale for $5.50. The unopened roll of blue painters tape was probably that much by itself. These two lots were in two different bags. I'm glad I found the electric staple gun staples in the other bag. And the instuctions. Now for some projects.

I found a nice sofabed. But the best thing about it is the fact that the mattress fits perfectly into our little camper. I almost bought a futon mattress. I'm glad I waited. I bought the "Chris Madden" sweater throw at GW last week for $4.04. Still in the wrapping. Original price was $50.00.

It's "Rednesday" at It's a very Cherry World.

It's Rednesday Day at "It's a Very Cherry World" I have a few shots of random "redness" for you. Visit Sue at http://suelovescherries.blogspot.com/

The towels and such I bought at a recent estate sale. The little red mushroom , I found at Target and the chocolate fondue and "dippers" were the party food my Daughter and friends had while they watched "The Bachelorette". Silly show.

Why did he have to do it?

I love vintage cookbooks and I bought a set saturday at a yardsale. But when I looked closer noticed the back cover of one of them and the corners were burnt off. I asked the lady if it was a bad cooking experience that happened. And she said "No, it was my EX-husband. Apparently he told her the books were junk and he threw them in a fire. She rescued them but the "Desserts" volume got a little burnt. She did emphasize EX. I still like them and they do have some good recipes. But when was the last time Bing Crosby had a Christmas show?
