Hot, Dry and Wilted

So sorry, I tried to flip this.

I could be talking about myself but actually it's my yard. Many annuals are giving up to the heat. The one thing that continues to produce are my peppers and cherry tomatoes. I love to go pick those little red jewels and eat them straight off the vine.

I will share a few more daylilies and plants from earlier in the season.

Sizzling hot in Middle Georgia

You are correct it did not snow today. But I thought a few pics from last Winter would cool things off a bit. At Midnight, Weather .com said it was 85 but felt like 97. Ugh
Jackie Marie not too sure about the snow.

Maybe it will help me think cool thoughts. Still haven't quite figured out this picture posting.

I picked a very hot day today to Kilz the inside of my "Tiny Trailer". The cabinets were dark brown paneling. I'm painting them "Pale Lemon" . I bought a brand new sealed up quart of paint at an estate sale recently for 75 cents. I love a good bargain.
Are you going bargain hunting today?

Welcome!

It's "Rednesday" at It's a Very Cherry World. These are a few shots form My Mama and Daddy's home in Valdosta. My Mama loves birds. Do you see the little log cabin bird house?

We are off to visit our friend, Kelly. Visit her at Simple-Southern-Suburbia. Blog links are at the bottom of my page.

New Adventures and a trip home.

It's Monday and I am tired. I had a busy weekend. Estate sales, Yard sales, Ladies' Luau, picked up our "Tiny Tin Can Cottage ", church, quick visit South to see family. thank you for taking the picture Oma. And for cooking Supper for us.

These pictures are the "before" shots of our Tin Can Cottage. The outside will not change much but I have "BIG" plans for the inside. I can hardly wait. The little sign "Welcome to our nest" came with the camper so it was meant to be.

It's Rednesday today.

Visit Sue at It's a very cherry world for "Rednesday" .

I found this thermometer set earlier this week at an estate sale. I had bever seen anything like it. After looking more closely found the instructions and the missing pin. On the back of the instructions are recipes for yummy items such as banana fritters, buttermilk doughnuts, french fried potatoes, corn fritters, deep-fat fried chicken, deep-fat fried onion rings, deep-fat fried oysters or scallops and drop doughnuts. I believe this was way before the low-fat era. Hmmmm a doughnut sounds very good right now.

Peter Piper Picked

A peck of pickeled peppers. These are some of the peppers I picked to make hot peppersauce. Need that pepper sauce for turnip greens and black eyed peas.

The craft room project is moving along. Still not ready for "after" pictures.

It has been very hot in Middle Georgia. The flowers and plants are suffering.

Hopefully , we will get some of that forcasted rain. In the meantime, I will connect that soaker hose again. Have a great Monday.

My new motto.

I watched an episode of Hoarders today. I decided my new motto is...

Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.

I have shredded 2 bags of papers, thrown away 3 other bags of stuff and have 4 boxes of stuff for the next yardsale.

I also moved a unwanted desk out of my daughters room and into my craftroom. I'm moving my computer ito my craftroom. This will give my husband his own office. This has been a dream of his for a while. After all I have a huge craft room, he should have his own space.

This process reminds me of the little kid's slider puzzle game I used to play. I have to move alot of pieces before the picture falls into place.

I would show ya'll a before picture but I do not want to be turned in to the "Hoarders" TV show.

Thank you, Lord for the refreshing rain you sent our way.

I do not have to water the plants and flowers today.

God sent a much needed rain shower last night.

Everything looks clean and green.

In a little while I will go pull some weeds.
