A Vision in Pink Christmas in July

A couple of Months ago, my Mama, Ruth flowers and I reserved our spots for Jennifer Hayslip's, Christmas in July. We were so excited and we knew we would be in for a special treat. We were not disappointed!!
The workshop was held in Jennifer's beautiful pastel studio. Everywhere you look there is something precious and pastel to behold. I gave Jennifer this pink doll made of tulle. I knew when I saw it earlier this year it was meant to be hers. On Jennifer's right is our lovely instructor, the other Jennifer. Jennifer Grenko. On her left is Anne, she has a lovely shop in Florida called Annabelles.
We were all amazed at the beauty around us. I admit it, I was trying to get a picture of the chandelier AND the ladies attending.
My Mama and I were so happy to be there together.
Every little detail was perfect. from our personalized place mat to little gifts, a beautiful tote, candy and our own trees to complete and decorate. More on the gifts at the end of the post.
Another Mother /daughter pair enjoying the day.Shelley and Paige.
Sisters and cousins creating together. JoAnn, Jeanie and Lisa. Lisa has a lovely blog and has also been published in Somerset magazine.
Jeanie, Robin and Lisa. Robin was so sweet and surprised my mama with a necklace  she admired that Robin was wearing.
Sherry, Jennifer, Jennifer and Missy getting ready to start on our tulle trees.

Marian was one of our table mates. She had the most beautiful crafting case filled with lots of goodies to embellish her tree. Roselyn-Sue was also at our table. And I am so sorry I did not get a picture of her. She is having a special event in October. Checkout her link for more details.

Jennifer and Missy posing for the camera. I loved Jennifer's apron. So very vintage and Christmassy.

This pink parasol was above our table. so pretty.
Marian has such a lovely smile.

After a morning of completing the base of our trees, we took a break for lunch. A short stroll took us to Jennifer's lovely home. Her Mama helped her prepare a lovely luncheon for us. Every detail was perfect. Jennifer graciously allowed us to look around her home. The pictures do not show how truly beautiful it is. So many special touches everywhere.

Jennifer made there adorable glittered cupcake picks.
The tree was so pretty. Special ornaments, many handmade. I was ready to mine up when I got home but I guess I will wait until November. Ha ha
Lovely living room . Miss Paige and Jennifer enjoying a chat.

Jennifer had many pieces with mosaic on them. So pretty. All of the small details are what made this home so special.  Mama is looking pretty too.
Mama and I loved the side porch. A perfect place to eat dinner when the weather is nice.
 Special touches in the kitchen.

 Jeanie showing off her tree.
All of the ladies were so busy making their trees and decorating them to suit their own style.
This is my craft box of goodies. Jennifer and Jennifer were so generous with embellishments including beads, Christmas balls and adorable vintage angel tree toppers and flocked birds.
Lisa and Robin admiring Robin's tree.

Isn't that a pretty pink tree with such a sweet angel topper?
Time to say goodbye. It was a wonderful, memorable afternoon where we met new friends and learned a new craft. Hoping we can get together again in the future. Thank you to our lovely hostesses!!
Many of the ladies shared gifts with us. I'm not going to name everyone, because I do not want to leave anyone out. But thank you, thank you, thank you. Your generosity was a blessing.

Christmas In July Swap at Golden Egg Vintage

A few months ago I signed up for A Christmas in July swap at Golden Egg Vintage. We were supposed to fill a tin with mostly vintage goodies.  I was paired up with with Debbie Reed . She sent me a lovely package full of Christmasy goodies.
If anyone can tell me how to turn these iPhone pictures around, I would appreciate it. I tried a couple of different things that did not work. But , I'm going with it. It is now August, and I am behind on my posting.

This is the sweetest crocheted angel and I promise she is not flying upside down.

Buttons and ribbon to craft with and cookie cutters. I always put up a tree in my kitchen decorated with cookie cutters and ginger bread men so these will be perfect.
I collect Christmas pins too. Love the wreath. Debbie also sent a 1985. better Homes and Gardens. Fun to look through this 28 year old magazine. Times sure have changed !! Lots of cigarette ads.
This was the vintage tin I sent Debbie. I was hard to find vintage Christmas in my area of Georgia so I shopped my own personal stash. I included this table cloth too.

Debbie told me she collected Raggedy Ann and Andy so I included a couple of those too. Plus some crafting goodies and other Christmas treasures.

Thank you, Erica for hosting this fun swap.
